SUMMARY:AON: Risk and Insurance Management for Chinese Businesses in Germany: Protecting the Value of Goods During Transportation\, Storage and Delivery
DESCRIPTION:Risk and Insurance Management for Chinese Businesses in Germany: Protecting the Value of Goods During Transportation\, Storage and Delivery – Case Study Seminar \nSupply chains and functioning logistics are crucial to succeed in the European expansion of Chinese companies. The complexity of logistic systems is growing\, new types of goods – like lithium-ion batteries – are being transported\, stored\, and delivered. \nEven in perfectly organized logistics\, something can go wrong\, and the transported goods may be lost or damaged. Everyone involved in a transport has an interest in the shipped goods arriving at their destination undamaged and on time – or that any possible damage is covered by a transport insurance. \nSetting up insurance without gaps of coverage while keeping flexibility can be a challenge in international trade and multimodal transportation. According to international conventions\, transport service providers are only liable to a limited extent for the loss of or damage to the transported goods of a client. The so-called “Marine Cargo insurance” is the solution to bridge the gap between the carrier’s legal liability and the full potential loss. \nIn our workshop\, we will focus on the challenges in Sino-German trade by covering the following topics: \n\nThe different insurances relating to transport of goods\nDeep dive: protection provided under Marine Cargo insurance\nClaim examples and case studies\nCurrent developments and challenges on the insurance market\nInsuring warehouses and storage of goods – current challenges and case studies\n\nThis event is of high relevance for: \n\nBusiness managers who want to understand the risk and insurance management strategies in Germany.\nEmployees who want to deepen their understanding of risk control and insurance management\, as well as local market practices\, legal compliance\, different types of storage of goods and basics on fire safety standards.\nEmployees from Chinese enterprises who have suffered losses due to unfamiliarity with local risk management and insurance market practices in Germany.\n\nFollowing the seminar\, we invite all participants to join us for drinks and snacks. \n\nAgenda \n3:30 pm Registration with Coffee and Cake \n4:00 pm Welcoming remarks | Dr. Stephan Kuntner and Pamela Lv\, Aon China Global Solutions\, Aon Germany \n4:15 pm (Wang Xing\, CHKD General Secretary) \n4:30 pm Case Study Seminar on insurance relating to transport and storage of goods | Pascal Plueckelmann\, Senior Broker Transportation Insurance\, Aon Germany \n5:30 pm Q&A and networking \n\nPlease register until the 20th of June. \nRegister
