SUMMARY:Cross-Border Exchange on E-Mobility between Taiwan and NRW-Germany
DESCRIPTION:From April 15. to 19.\, DEinternational Taiwan Ltd.\, the service unit of the German Trade Office Taipei (AHK Taiwan) is organizing a delegation trip of German companies to Taiwan as part of a cross-border exchange between Taiwanese and German know-how in the field of E-Mobility and sustainable transportation. This cluster marketing project is part of the GTAI ISW funding program\, founded by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action. The exchange is coorganized by NRW.Global Business and partnered by automotiveland.nrw\, and Zukunftsagentur Rheinisches Revier. \nThe Taiwanese government\, with its „2050 Net Zero Emission Path and Strategy“ approved by the National Development Council\, aims to be emission-free by 2050. Among the milestone objectives is that no new vehicles\, including motor scooters with internal combustion engines\, will be allowed for sale from 2040 onwards. The public bus fleet is set to be fully electrified by 2030. \nBy 2030\, the share of electric vehicles is expected to reach 30%\, and by 2035\, it is targeted to be at 60%. To achieve these goals\, €5.2 billion will be invested to promote electric vehicles. In addition to benefits for consumers such as tax incentives\, the country is also subsidizing the expansion of charging infrastructure. Taiwan is planning a significant expansion of its role in global electric vehicle supply chains and aims to build on the successes of the semiconductor and consumer electronics industries. The country’s advantage lies in its ability to draw from its experience in the production of electronic components and batteries\, already covering the entire supply chain for EV battery manufacturing. Some of the major battery manufacturers in Taiwan include Amita Technologies Inc\, CSB Battery Technologies Inc\, and Kung Long Batteries Industrial Co Ltd. \nPreliminary Agenda \n\n\n\nMonday 15.04.2024\n– Briefing on Taiwan for the German delegates on the Taiwanese economy\,\nculture\, and EV-industry\n– Group Dinner\n\n\nTuesday 16.04.2024\n– Networking Event including company pitches\, introduction of the state of\nNorth-Rhine-Westphalia\, Business-Speed-Dating\n– Company visits\n\n\nWednesday 17.04.2024\n– Group visit of 2035 E-Mobility Taiwan trade fair\n– Investors-Dinner for Taiwanese companies in Taipei\n\n\nThursday 18.04.2024\n– Plattform visit: Mobility in Harmony in Kaohsiung\n\n\nFriday 19.04.2024\n– Company visits\n– Wrap-up with German delegates\n\n\n\nWeitere Informationen und Registrierung.
