Nicolas Zhu is Partner and Head of Life Sciences and Healthcare Sector Group of CMS, China. He has more than 20 years’ experiences in working extensively for mainly European clients. His main expertise is in the fields of foreign direct investment, M&A and regulatory compliance in life sciences and healthcare, foods and beverages, consumer goods and luxury goods. He is one of the main authors of two editions of the book “Chine juridique et fiscal” (“China law and tax”) published by Edition Francis Lefebvre and also published articles related to foreign investment in various industries. Nicolas has been assisting some European government bodies in amending legal contents related to China in their publications. He has reviewed the annual publication related to medical devices guidance in China (“Règlementation des dispositifs médicaux en Chine” (Medical Devices Regulations in China)) for the regulatory pole of Business France in Marseille since 2015. Nicolas has advised many German medical devices companies on the localization of medical devices, including license-in projects and localizations for various types of medical devices, such as endoscopes, eye disease therapy devices, etc.
