The German Trade Office Taipei (AHK Taiwan) in cooperation with the Taiwan Committee of German Business, the Taiwan Bureau of Foreign Trade, and the Chinese International Economic Cooperation Association (CIECA) welcome you to join the 21st Germany-Taiwan Joint Business Council Meeting (JBC) on September 22, 2023 in Berlin.

Since 1988, the JBC has been firmly established in the German-Taiwanese business calendar, bringing together more than 100 representatives from business, industry, and politics every year. The JBC is chaired by Dirk Sänger, C. Melchers GmbH & Co. KG, on the German side, and Jimmy Chu, Fair Friend Group, on the Taiwanese side.

The annually changing focus of the JBC results from current topics affecting the industry of both locations. On the occasion of the recently announced investment of the Taiwanese chip company TSMC in Dresden, this year’s JBC will focus on German-Taiwanese cooperation in the field of semiconductor and chip production. Representatives of German and Taiwanese companies will discuss success strategies of the Taiwanese semiconductor industry and which steps are now necessary to further strengthen the semiconductor ecosystem in Germany. The program also offers opportunities to network and get to know the company representatives who have travelled all the way from Taiwan and are active in the various stages of the semiconductor value chain.
